If it’s wrong to eat meat, then it is wrong to raise cattle for their meat. But cattle have been bred exclusively for the food they produce. So would it also be wrong if they all went extinct? Neil Levy, writing in Aeon magazine, considers the ethical limits of vegetarianism.
