Why philosophy needs myth

In the battle of philosophers, who was right? Friedrich Nietzsche and Karl Popper blamed Plato for setting Western philosophy on the wrong course. However, despite their agreed conclusion, their reasonings were contradictory, which raises the question of Plato's role in our understanding of myth and philosophy.
